  Gagetown – Vet. Trumble former resident here, passed away at his home at Indian River Sunday and was brought to the Hunter funderal home here where funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Silas Parker of the Latter Day Saints church, Owendale, conducted the services and interment was made in Gagetown cemetery.

  Sheriffs Daugherty of Caro and Morris of Cass City were in the northern part of the state last week searching for Vet Trumble, formerly of Gagetown, who was accused of stealing ten gallons of whiskey from a car side tracked at Gagetown about a year ago. Trumble was found at Cheboygan where he was employed in a lumber camp and on Friday he was brought to Cass City and placed in the lockup and on Saturday he was arranged before Justice Anyon and plead guilty. He paid a fine of $65 and was released. Another Gagetown party is implicated in the theft and will soon be made to answer the same charges.

Notes

• On November 24, 1989, David Trumbull sat down with Kenneth Schenk, the second husband of Maybell Elston, daughter of Emma Trumble Elston and put in writing some family stories passed down about Andrew Trumble and his family.

  Andrew Trumbull and Vet Trumble hired an Indian guide and caught a bear near Mud Lake Swamp near Gagetown, Mich.

• Jim Mosher, grandson of Harriet Trumble and James Mosher, in a telephone interview with David Trumbull on August 6, 1983, related that Vet Trumble and Cyrus Trumble are buried side-by-side at Gagetown Cemetery. Mr. Wallrod dug graves and Jim Mosher helped dig Vet Trumble's grave.
