Obituary from March 28, 1990 Cass City Chronicle. Kenneth Edgar Schenk, 76, of Decker died Tuesday, March 20, at Hills and Dales General Hospital, Cas City. He was born March 11, 1914, in Caro, the son of Edgar and Nellie (Finkbeiner) Schenk, Mr. Schenk, a well-known cabinet and furniture maker in the area , was married to Miss Maybell Elston Nov. 25, 1935, in Huron County. They made their home in Bad Axe and Detroit, returning to this area after retirement. Mrs. Schenk died March 1,1982. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Frank (Gail) Warford of Marlette; 4 grandchildren, David Trumbull of Ypsilanti, Brian Warford of Snover, Mrs. Louis (Ruth) Snyder of Marlette and Mrs. David (Lisa) Limberger of Pigeon, and 3 great-grandsons, Dustin Snyder, Jordan Warford and Andrew Limberger; 4 brothers, Paul Schenk of Filion, Harold Schenk of Luzerne, Walter and Clare Schenk of Vassar; 3 sisters, Mrs. Robert Stone of Bad Axe, Mrs. Bernard Chambers of Washington, MI, and Miss Ruth Schenk of port Austin, and a stepson, Ben Kitchen of Cass City. One stepdaughter, Lois Kitchen, one brother, Amold, and a sister, Althea, preceded him in death. Funeral services were conducted Friday at Little’s Funeral Home, Cass City, with David Kitchen Trumbull, of St. Lukes Episcopal Church of Ypsilanti, officiating, Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, Gagetown.
