Mrs. Lillian Kitchen
Caro
Funeral services were conducted yesterday (Wednesday)
at Huston's Funeral Home, Caro, by the Rev. Richard Spencer,
for Mrs. George (Lillian) Kitchen, 69, who died Sunday at
the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. Burial was in
Novesta Cemetery. Mrs. Kitchen was born Oct. 19, 1899, in
New York State and moved to the county from Pontiac 36 years
ago. She married the late George Kitchen in Pontiac on Oct.
2, 1922. He predeceased her on Jan. 14, 1967. She is survived
by two sons, Ben of Oxford and Ronald of North Star;
two step-children, Merrill [sic, should be Merle] Kitchen of Cass City and Mrs.
Velva Miller of Springfield, Ohio; five grandchildren and
a sister, Cassie Nichols of Taylor.
- Certified May 4, 1983 copy of Certificate of Death for
Lillian Kitchen. Note father's name misspelled John "Veneva" and mother's name missing.
Notes
- Frank Warford was a pallbearer at George's and Lillian's funerals.
- In addition to Ben and Ron there was a third son, born severely handicapped who was institutionalized.
