Notes

  • In letter of October 16, 1983 to grand-daughter Gail Warford, Warren Wilson wrote:
We moved to California because I was about to retire and Pat's husband was running a pheasant farm and hunting club and asked me to come out and help with the operation. I also invested some money in it. After about 6 months we disagreed and I got out. I helped with the 1960 census then took the examination for Postal Service, passed and worked in the post office and had to leave that because of age. Then it was that I worked for the munition factory, building storage rooms for explosives until I retired.

Helen and I were looking thru albums yesterday and came across pictures of when you all came out here to California. It was about the last of 1961 or first of '62. Lois, Benny and David had Thanksgiving dinner at our place. You and mother and Dad were in an apartment on 15th street at the time. You all left for Michigan a short time after. We moved to California in Feb. 1959. You folks come out in 1961.
